Know your rights and obligations!
Real estate law and regulations are very complex and change from year to year. When you sign a contract for the sale of your property, it's a legally binding document. An improperly written contract can create many problems for you: a sale could fall through or cost you thousands in forced repairs, inspections, and remedies for items included or excluded in the purchase offer. Make sure you understand what repairs and closing costs you are responsible for in a contract. You must also know whether the property can legally be sold "as is" or how deed restrictions or local zoning will affect your transaction. What do Ginny and Tim Do? We review your title, local restrictions, and current real estate law with you. For example, if your community has housing codes, you need to know what they are and what your options are if your home does not meet certain codes. We also review with you every paragraph of the purchase agreement before you sign. You will need to understand how to protect your own interests. Best of all, we have a legal team to answer any legal questions.
